Hi,
I'm Benoît Devilliers

UX/Product Designer | No Code Developer

Based in Montréal, I am currently Product Designer at e180. I love design in general and am a follower of collaborative methodologies such as Lean UX or Design thinking.

I am convinced that no-code technologies will be one of the greatest tools for designer in the future. That’s why I got Webflow certified with Flux academy and am currently building web apps using Bubble. Read my article about no-code here.

Process

Frame the problem

Before getting into design we need to make sure there is a problem to solve. We could always optimize your interface but without the end user in mind this optimization would be pointless.

Méthodes : Observations terrain, Entretiens utilisateurs, Personas, Experience Map

Imagine solutions

Once the problem is framed it’s time to ideate. I can help your team or your users brainstorm to make solutions emerge.

Methods : Design charette, Crazy eights

Prototype and test

Using the input collected in the previous phase I create high fidelity prototypes and test them with your users to make sure it answers their needs before it goes in Development phase.

Méthodes : Prototypage, Tests utilisateurs

Outils : Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Maze.Design

Development

I turn the prototype into a website using Webflow or into an Android or IOS app using Figma and Bravo Studio. If you have your own development team I can  also help them bring the prototype to life.

Méthodes : Validation fonctionnelle, Développement no-code

Outils : Webflow, Bravo Studio

Side projects

Kindness media studios (Pro bono)

Back in 2017, while I was looking for a job for the first time I chose to do some pro bono design work for Better World International (Their CEO was Corey Harnish).

At the time I did an audit and some usability testing on an app called “The good cards” but I stopped when I got a full time job. During Covid I was like “let’s do some pro bono again” so I catchep up with Corey who told me that he was trying to get a new website...

I developed Kindness Media Studios’s website using Webflow.
I helped define the information architecture of the website and did some wireframing.. Then once their graphic designer’s version of the page was validated I developed it into Webflow.

“Honest. Gives advice and recommendations based on knowledge of the space.”
- Corey Harnish

Chegaga nomad’s camp (Student project)

In order to be Webflow certified I had to create a fully responsive one page website.I chose to make a different version of the website of a place I went in Morocco.

I used this work to showcase some interraction and graphic design. The functionnal aspect of the site still needs some improvements which I might do later !
